Dog Safety
We remind all owners and handlers that they are responsible for keeping control of their dogs at all times and that dogs must not be tied up and left unattended. All dogs should be on lead unless competing or warming up and should be contained within vehicles or crates when not attended.
Dog Exercise Areas
There is a large amount of space for off-lead dog exercise. The equestrian area south of the arena, cricket pitch and embankment around the speedway are all available. Please be aware that the domain is a public dog exercise area and members of the public will be using it. Please pick up after your dogs and use the bins provided.
Parking
Pre-paid parking is along the north side of the arena and can also be accessed from Atkinson Street (turn right off Herbert Street, then immediately right). Parking is between the arena and fence line. There is enough room for everyone who booked parking, but sites are not pre- allocated.
Free parking is also available at the southern end of the arena and in the lower car park between the equestrian club and speedway. It is not pre-allocated. It can be accessed from Gate 2 on Grey Street.
Day Tents
Day tents were pre-booked and information disseminated on the Facebook NZDAC group. If you are unsure of your classification, please ask a committee member for assistance.
Day Tent sites T01-T58 and pre-paid parking spaces should enter the venue from Atkinson St (turn right off Herbert St).
Day Tent sites T59-T84 should enter the site through the car park at Gate 2 (Grey St). Day tent sites can be accessed from Atkinson Street (turn right off Herbert St, just east of the venue) after 4:00pm on Thursday.
