Lisa Duff & Fault Fault is a six year old fun loving border collie. He has many nicknames - Faulty Towers, Mr Faultilicious, and Little Baaastard (when he is naughty) which is not very often as he is pretty darn perfect in my eyes. Fault was bred by Sallie Remon and the stars aligned and we were lucky enough to welcome him into our home. It was one of the best decisions that we have ever made! He is a cheeky, boundary pushing team mate who likes to keep me on my toes. Running Fault puts a smile on my face no matter what happens out on the course. I have represented our Zone on many occasions before and this will be Fault’s second time. We will do our very best to run fast and clean on the day but no matter what happens I am bringing home the best dog. I wish all my fellow competitors well and I look forward to seeing you out on the course. Go Zone 4! Phil Johnson & Tee Six years ago, Tee was involved in a rather nasty accident whereby she ran into a car on a 100km/hr road. After the driver of the car had taken the time to get what he thought was a dead dog off the road to prevent Tee being run over again, it was discovered that Tee was in fact still alive ... albeit just. She was rushed to our vets in Christchurch who had the surgical team on standby awaiting her arrival. Tee broke both front legs, one of which still has the plate and screws in, she badly dislocated her rear hip, had a massive head injury and she had significant cuts and scrapes to almost every inch of her body. Tee could not weight bear for some months, was crate bound for four months and in time went through over six months of intensive rehab with the view that she could possibly, just possibly, one day compete in agility again. Having chosen the Queen's Birthday show in Nelson (me being a Nelson boy) as her return show, Tee went on to amaze most by winning her very first senior class back from injury giving her a sixth challenge and the title of Agility Champion ... and the rest, as they say, is history. Tee, now age 10, has since gone from strength to strength in agility all the while both absolutely loving the thrill of the sport and also acquiring a unique ability to ignore my hopeless handling to somehow find the correct way to go. I wish everyone the best for the upcoming NZDAC and Zone Teams event. Compete with pride, give 100%, run fast, but most of all ... Have Fun!! Page 47
