(to the tune of ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’)
Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
So, sit right there
I'll tell you how I became a DAC judge this year
In Wellington City born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool
Hangin’ with the lads and skipping school
Me and my mates, we were up to no good
Started making trouble in the neighbourhood
Had no plans, my life was going nowhere
So off on my OE I went for a year
Upon my return Bron was still there
We moved to Palmy, and I’m still here Needed something that we both could do Somehow dogs is what we got into
I started in obedience and moved to agility Never thought I’d have the ability
To train an agility champ or two
Now this is just somethin’ I love to do
Guess you all know the rest from here Had 9 dogs in the last 20 years
Judging was something I was talked into Now I’m honoured, each appointment I do
Go good and clean, it’s gonna be a test No matter the result, give it your best Just remember at the end of the day You go home with the best dog anyway
I got the email about 7 or 8
And I replied “Yeah Nick, I’m in mate” Our premier event
I was finally here
Judging Twenty Seventeen DAC this year
