Cam List Hi all, Well another year and yes, another National agility event. They keep turning up around this time of the year, don’t they?? Well it looks like this year is turning out to be again one of the biggest. These things just keep growing....... For those that don’t know me I have been around for about 13 years and have made agility a fairly big part of my life. This year I lost my first agility dog Sheeba, which I owe all of my achievements to, as she was the dog that got me started. A lot has happened over the 13 years: marriage, 3 kids and a bit of a change in focus from agility to family, or at least an attempt at getting all the balances right so I have the best of everything. As many of you know it is very tricky trying to keep everyone happy and still do the extra things in life. And things are just going to get busier I am sure. My eldest Hannah is now 7, Mikayla has now joined the school ranks and Casey just turned 2. Back to agility now.... During that time, I have gone through the different ranks of judging and have had far too many appointments to remember. I have had overseas judging appointments in Australia and even held a few positions on the AC over the years. I have attended the YKC camp last year as a trainer and will continue to do so until those kids mentioned above no longer want or need me lol.... But it is great to see them enjoying YKC and running my nutty BC Treason (or attempting to at least). For this year at the NZDAC I will hopefully be testing your ability and giving you all some interesting courses to manoeuvre around. Nothing too confusing of course.... Seeing great achievements at an NZDAC makes judging worth it. All levels have some awesome runs and everyone smiles at the end as that’s really what we are here for. Plus, there is the win and if you do manage that then well done. See you out there with your smile....... Judges’ gifts generously sponsored by Page 29
